Moon Map

The Lunar Landers icons on the maps below represent lunar landing locations for U.S. "Ranger", "Surveyor", "Apollo" and USSR "Luna" spacecraft. Only spacecraft that actually landed on the moon and the coordinates are known have been added to the map. Click on a Lunar Lander, to display the info window describing the spacecraft. If the title in the info window is underlined, you can click the title to go to the spacecraft website. The map has full zoom capability. The easiest way to keep the landing site on the map while zooming is to click on the site which displays the info window. While the info window is displayed, use the zoom slider on the left of the map to zoom in or out.
